Network World reports that the manufacturer has confirmed it will be equipping a selection of Toshiba's business laptops mobile broadband support that will allow access to the wireless web.
The new models, which are set to be rolled out across Europe over the second half of the year, will use high-speed packet access technology alongside special modules that will be integrated with the notebooks.
According to Ericsson's marketing director for mobile broadband modules, Eva Sparr, the move will make things easier for those who travel frequently with their laptops.
"The single most important thing is that it becomes easier to use, and you also get better battery time," she said.
Phones4u recently announced it would be offering a range of laptops to consumers who signed up to their mobile broadband packages.
