T Mobile launches BlackBerry Bold
T Mobile has announced the launch of the BlackBerry Bold on its network in the UK.
The network will add to its portfolio of Research In Motion (RIM) mobile phones by offering the new model on a range of tariffs and has stated that online shoppers will be able to purchase it next month.
RIM's 3G-enabled BlackBerry Bold comes with a number of features which may be of particular interest to business users, such as HSDPA speeds of 4.5 Mbps, satellite navigation and office applications.
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will all be supported by the new Bold and according to Oliver Chivers, T Mobile's head of business marketing in the UK, this is in response to the growing need for a portable office.
"For the business world, this translates into opportunities to extend the boundaries of productivity and efficiency," he said.
RIM's BlackBerry's are often seen being carried by film TV and music stars on the Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings website.
